The 3D Incubator, the first European high-tech incubator for 3D printing, was awarded at the 4th edition of the INDUSTRY from Needs to Solutions fair, the 4.0 Industry Fair organised by Fira de Barcelona, as a successful innovative initiative in the field of high-tech 3D printing. The manager of the 3D Incubator, Aintzane Arbide, collected the award and highlighted that “within these six months, we have exceeded our target for the first year of 25 incubated projects, and with more than 10,000 pieces printed”.

The trade show was held at the Gran Vía Fira Barcelona venue and received a total of 8,949 visitors. The incubator had its own stand of more than 100m2 and the 14 incubated companies exhibiting at the stand were: Intech 3D, Drukatt Componentes, Dow Chemicals Iberia, PodoTec3D, BCN3d ceramics, Origen Studio, Add3DPARTS by 3DSix, Between Technology, 3Digital Factory, 3YourMind, Airmony by TBIOM, Arboleda Intelligence, Odisei Music and Addit·ion Corporation.

There were three intense days of the trade fair, during which the incubated projects had the opportunity to establish synergies, make new contacts and present all their initiatives. "A small but mighty fair! The truth is that we didn’t think it would bring us much, since our target is musicians and the fair was focused on manufacturing. However, it was a very productive trade show where many people were interested in our Travel Sax product and we shared very interesting discussions with other exhibitors. 100% recommended!” says Ramón Mañas from Odisei Music.

Other incubated projects noted the opportunity to develop their projects with the support of the incubator's technical staff, and the access to its 3D printing equipment. As Pol Guixè from Origin Studio explained: “3D Incubator is a great platform that allows us to access the latest manufacturing technologies. It also allows us to know firsthand what the software needs in the Industry 4.0 sector are so that we can adapt our products and services.”

For most of the exhibitors, it was a good opportunity to make their success stories known and take their first steps in the sector. “As Drukatt is a young company, we haven't participated in many fairs; but this time, alongside the 3D Incubator, we confirmed that presenting our activities not only reinforces our image with customers, but also that new and very interesting opportunities always appear. Thank you, 3D Factory team!!!” are the conclusions of Israel Arias from Drukatt.

From 19th to 21st November the 3D Factory Incubator  was  also at the FORMNEXT fair, the most important trade fair in Europe which will be held in Frankfurt. The incubator had a prominent presence as a partner of the IAM 3D HUB.
